About Hudson Hospice Volunteers

About Hudson Hospice Volunteers:
Hudson Hospice was established in 1980 to bring the hospice concept to the people of Hudson County. Unlike many hospice programs, Hudson Hospice provides no direct medical or nursing care. Instead, we work cooperatively with other agencies and health facilities in the area, complimenting their direct hospice care programs by providing volunteer services and supportive financial assistance where it is needed. In this way Hudson Hospice volunteers give of themselves, through actual work with patients and families and in many other ways, helping people in need through the difficult days of dying and into the time of bereavement.
